How many times exactly that a student get chances to go for Choral Speaking? Well, I guess it's not going to be more than 5.....
For 13 years and 10 months since I was born, I'd got only two chances to go for Choral Speaking. The first time happened when I was 10, standard 5 at school. I was stupid to miss the chance that time. But then in this year, I am 14, studying Form 2, I'd got my second chance to go for a competition in the aspect.
"2013, what a wondrous year!", as I once said on my blog.
It was this English Choral Speaking that my classmates and I took part in. The script was named 'Malaysia A Paradise For Us', enthralling, easy and fun with patriotism spirits. We, the participants did not have much luck that time as we had only one week to practise, but we worked hard on it (though we skipped tonnes of classes that week).
Time passed fast and it was the 20th of April 2013, our big day! We left school early in the morning by our EC school bus, which straight headed to SMK Taman Sutera. Excitement rose in us with hot musics such as Die Young and I Knew You Were Trouble were heard from the radio. But before that, I had known of something that gave my nervousness a boost: the lovely girl from Convent I'd mentioned earlier, she would be there too, as one of the participants for her school.
The competition was tough with fear and nervousness crawling in our mind. We got no place at the end and my friends told me that he KNEW that there were bad signs for us in the bus just now: songs with the words "die" and "trouble" in the lyrics. Bleh..... Though we were in the down mode, our leader cheered us up by snapping photos of us. Right in a sudden, we were all smiling and grinning. I'd even got this picture with two of my friends in it. They were my classmates since we were in primary school. Guess that this is known of the unbreakable friendship. ^o^
