The Skip-Ahead Moment

Taylor Swift released her song which features Ed Sheeran, Everything Has Changed , as the sixth single from her latest album, Red . And I thought that’s all, only six. But the news about the release of her seventh single really shocked me.     It’s the track after the song, Stay, Stay, Stay , featuring Gary Lightbody from the band, Snow Patrol, in both recording and lyrics-penning. It has a heavy aura of country, twining around both the genres of country rock and country folk, making it an utterly different piece of rhythm compared to the past works this 23-year-old American singer-songwriter had ever done before. It is believed that all reasons for this difference made were her tremendous musical improvements, impressive breakup elements, great partnership with Gary Lightbody and her very own changes made for intense love.   The song begins with Gary’s solo section, then them both together for a duet. Their voices fitted in flawlessly as they played the magic of...

10 Nights Of Us

I did have special feelings for the perfect girl-next-door but this doesn’t mean that something in the surrounding atmosphere will be changed. It wasn’t hard to believe that it’s a little bitter-sweet and it was really a sad, beautiful, tragic crushing love affair. But somehow she just tuned out to be the over-protected girl at home.          We both chatted for like, 10 nights. And I’m really kinda into her, knowing what the ‘blushing, asking, ‘CHIEANTIENING’’ stuff happened in her school, maybe she felt the same way too. But her BFFs just texted me, “Her studies are dropping and we think it’s because of you, we need you to help us to help her”. Yeah, fine. I know what to do, really.   Her friends had me had her blocked on both my LINE and Instagram accounts, and guess I can never talk to her anymore. I think it’s okay, it’s all for the best, for me and for her. At least she can concentrate on her studies and I her friends will not have t...

Enchanted To Meet You

Silky straight pearl black hair, luminous eyes behind a simple but elegant set of spectacles, such gorgeous face with a sweet, shy smile. Being with her ‘crazy’ fellows, she’s still that cute and appealing, it’s like an about-to-blossom rosebud among a bush of full-blossomed scarlet floras, not as impressive in its silence but can still show off its irresistible fragrant scent.                      The girl has a beautiful name, but don’t guess. We chatted and I found her adorable with a ‘strange’ sense of humour, which I couldn’t understand sometimes. From her pictures, I could see that she’s sunny, pretty active in things like parties and she’s just simply funny!   I’d heard rumours about her ‘juju-lala-me-name’ thing, which I’m not telling you but that’s the reason I texted her, to asked her about it and of course to have her as a new friend. She’s a curious person, with questio...

The Cockroach Spirit

It was there, right on my back, I swear. It’s moving, causing irresistible itch along its track. I could feel its legs moving, I could almost smell the terrible smell from its body. It was, scary, frightening, and, petrifying.   It moved from my back to my waist area, and then it went up again, curiously walking around as it left an itchy track on my body, leaving me both petrified and haunted. I don’t know why it’s here, but as I recall, I think it’s the cockroach spirit. It was here to avenge me for killing so many cockroaches at home. Scary plus crazy thinking, isn’t? And illogic. But as I think and think, I guess it might be true.                                 That feeling was undeniably traumatic, it was uneasy. Something weird and revolting was crawling on my body but I couldn’t even make a move. It was totally disgusting ...

Smart Phones, Smart Enough!

The world changes fast as technology moves forward way too fast that no one can ever calculate the speed of it. Smart phones that were released into our society slowly became important in the daily life of human beings as it can settle things much more convenient, faster and better than normal phones.   I don’t know when the first smart phone was borne to the world or when people started to make smart phones as their chattels. Samsung, Nokia, I-phone and so on, which one do you prefer? Nowadays people would definitely choose Samsung or I-phone, so as my family, five of us are grabbing Samsung smart phones.                     Nowadays, people might say that smart phones are totally essential to be part of a human’s life. They can not only bring us the very latest news from the Internet but also offers us entertaining stuff such as games, musics or even videos from the network. Like me, ...

Only Chance; Sweet Enough

Taylor goes bubblegum pop for a movie! The I Knew You Were Trouble hit-maker penned a song with one of the members from the British band, fun. , specially for the movie, One Chance .           Taylor’s label literally said that no more music will be out until the release of her fifth album. But since she put herself in the beany couch for an out-coming British film, One Chance, she thought that she really needs to be a part of it. Hence, she made her move with her co-writers to pen the song.   The movie is about an ex-winner from The X Factor UK, on how he made his steps up to the stage and to the applauding world. It was his undying spirit of not giving up that inspired Taylor to write and sing him the song, Sweeter Than Fiction . The 23-year-old singer undeniably squeezed her brain juice out to have the proper adjectives and word in describing her feelings as if she were the guy, about how he felt when the people surrounding him s...

Laughter For Remembrance

There’s a crazy girl I know since 2009, Ong Jin Ru, funny, scary and troublesome… Hahaha. She’s like one of my best friend and I treat her as my older sister! She’s not that old though…             I remember she lent me one of her sister’s books in late 2009. It was about spooks and haunted stories. Scary but some parts were funny too. I even got a photocopy of it after that.   I was “ordered” by my form teacher to seat next to her in the year of 2011, when we were 12 years old. It was like, my most fearsome, hilarious and painful period of my six years in primary school. First, I found out that she liked Taylor Swift too, just not as fanatic as me. So I introduced her many new songs, I sang for her every day, any our “neighbours” were like ‘WOW’! Hahaha.       It was painful as she poked my arms with pens. She did it so hard hence I poked her back for revenge. Then we technically got into fights. ...

Strucks Of Wonders

Do you believe in magics and fairytales? Well, I did, but as time went by, I grew up and turned out to have maturity, so, I don’t. Taylor feels the same way too.                             My idol, Taylor Swift, believed in fairytales and she knew that one day, a handsome prince with a white horse would find her and they’d get married and lived happily forever after. Adam Young, also known as Owl City, once mentioned to the media about his celebrity crush was Taylor. So, Taylor, instead of texting him, she wrote him a song, namely enchanted. The song lyrically described how enchanting was it for Taylor to wish to meet Adam.   Then Taylor had thought of having her very own fragrance and what would she name it? She gave it a beautiful name, Wonderstruck, because in the lyrics of Enchanted, she sang: I’m Wonderstruck, blushing all the way home. The so...

Blossomy

Before Taylor, I was actually so obsessed with a Taiwanese girl group. Well, ya’ know, I used-to-be day dreaming in class about the complicated Chinese-musics industry. And their song did really appeal to my eldest brother and I.   I used to enjoy listening to Chinese songs in my primary school-life. Jay Chou, JJ Lin, Rachel Liang…… Their work done for the music industry had never been tedious. But as time went by, many new young singers rose up and honestly, their musics were like ‘ew….’ to me. Perhaps other people liked them, or my elder brother liked them too, but I didn’t. And then I found the English showbiz eccentric, so I became a fan of it.   Kay, kay. Come back to the story.                     S.H.E, a famous group formed by three gorgeous Taiwanese ladies. The group was made in 2001 after a singing contest. Yes, you got it right. The three girls were the participants in i...
