I have previously worked with underprivileged children, and it constantly haunts me till this day knowing that all the potential I see in these kids are hardly given the chances to bloom. It is always a hard point for me to be with them, but I still enjoy the time I spend throughout as I get to share what I have seen with them, hoping to expand their horizons too. I am proud to have been a part of Charisma Movement which shares the same perspectives of empathy towards underprivileged children. The developing Covid-19 situation may have left many plans uncertain, but this shouldn't stop us from reaching out, being kind, and continuing our efforts in bridging the gap between the more fortunate and the less. I am now raising funds for Charisma Movement in support of its various projects conducted for the betterment of the community.
Who is Charisma Movement?
Charisma Movement is a youth-led organisation which offers opportunities to volunteer in various locations in Malaysia, tackling a range of fields from education, environment to activism and social inclusion. Notably, its Anak Malaysia Project (previously known as Project Teringai-Temunda) reaches out to primary school children in rural Sabah to inspire them like sprouting seeds, pushing them towards realising their potential. Wildlife Conservation Project (previously known as Project Penyu) brings volunteers to Terengganu for examining the habitats of turtles, fireflies, river terrapins and contributing in conserving the environment for them. As for Inspire Initiative, a platform for the general public to turn their ideas into a reality, we are proud to steer our focus in the direction of raising awareness for breast and ovarian cancers as well as palliative care, through our upcoming projects.
