It was on Chinese New Year Eve when we have the reunion dinner with our beloved family members. Every year this meal takes place in KL at one of my uncles' house, while my real hometown is located in Southern Kedah, Malaysia.
2013 seems to be a really different year for me so I wouldn't simply let my Chinese New Year passed without any special occasions. The reunion dinner's preparation started in the late afternoon. We didn't have to worry whether was there enough time for them as there were plenty of "chefs" and helpers in the kitchen.
This is Kamshiah, my uncle's housemaid, who was helping out in the busy kitchen. She was making an effort in cooking the dishes in a healthy way, meanwhile, the other "chefs" were working hard on the mouth-watering dishes, which were served on the dining table later.
There were rice, vegetables, meat, soup and other various types of toothsome dishes. The dinner started when almost all of our family members were here. Everyone praised the tremendous skills of the "chefs" while dinning 'cuz the food was absolutely nice. Don't you think that the food makes you mouth-watering by just looking at the picture.

they ate; they chatted
After that was the "angpaus" giving session. I understand that it might be too early as it was just the Chinese New Year Eve, but that's my family's tradition. No one seems to be able to change that...
When someone was giving out "angpaus", you'll always find me there. Peeping at the red packets and laughing for fun. XD Sohai myself.
