It was the ninth night of the Chinese Ghost Festival, I was at my brother's apartment, with my mother. My brother came back from his university, had his dinner and he brought us out for the movie, Smurfs 2.
We passed by Putrajaya, it was enlightened with gorgeous lights that shined and twinkled. My brother told me that it was a really beautiful place as its construction was flawlessly planned by the government. Yeah, I thought so too and I thought the venue looks a lot like Paris, France, which is one of the most graceful city in the world. Then we watched the movie. Hahaha. It was hilarious! and the blue little creatures were damn adorable, so much more than those yellow "Banana-Minions". Blue's undoubtedly better.
It finished at 12:45 in the morning. We , as well as the other audience, stepped out of the cinema and into the silent mall. The three of us marched at a regular speed all the way to my brother's car. The lights were absolutely dim in a way that you couldn't even look clearly. The whole mall was deserted and left only a few workers who stayed back to lock the exits.
As we were walking to the car park, which was a long was, the front lights of a toy car near the escalator were flickering scarily by its own rhythm. The air around us turned out to be such different. There was a man dummy standing behind the glass of a fashion outlet, under the dim lights and still air, it looked live and seemed to be starring at us, observing the movements we made.
Would you shock after all these haunting stuffs, you just got yourself at an almost empty car park? The atmosphere was totally silent and em...fearful. We left the building and I glanced up to see a half-moon behind the thin night clouds, as if it was reminding us that the 'climax' of the Chinese Ghost Festival will be here in six days.
